Granite is a natural, porous stone. It is one of the strongest and most dense stones and can withstand heat on its surfaces. Quartz is a man-made stone that is non-porous and very durable. It cannot withstand heat. Quartzite is also a natural, porous stone that will need sealed. It is denser than granite, very durable, and resistant to heat.
Yes, they are either sealed in our fabrication shop or on-site at the install for all natural stone surfaces.
